Dingmac Stud

In 2007 we moved to Oxford, New Zealand from the UK and were daft enough to bring nine ponies with us! 

We aim to produce a pony capable of top class performance whilst retaining the common sense and physical hardiness that makes a good pony a delight to own.

We are home to the only purebred licensed Dartmoor Stallions in New Zealand and two great sport pony stallions.

Shilstone Dinger Tor

By Hixton Hurricane, Dinger combines a laid back temperament with great athletic ability and substance. A full up 12.2 hh and capable of carrying an adult he has given us some lovely purebred foals and we are particularly excited about his TB crosses, which promise to be full height 14.2hh ponies with quality and substance.

Machno Sportsman

A son of British Sports Pony Elite graded Sire Carregcoch Bleddyn. Mackie is a half brother to European Gold Medallist Show jumper Machno Carwyn. Mackie shares the family jumping ability and great movement. At 14 h Mackie is capable of producing top quality sports horses and ponies with friendly temperaments. He has also produced stunning purebred welsh offspring.

 Dingmac Archie

Imported in utero purebred Dartmoor By Lizwell Simon, Archie will be covering his first mare this year. A complimentary cross for Dinger and in future likely to be a great type to cross with Riding ponies to produce types like UK HOYS Supreme Ridden Pony Chagford Lewis.

Also by Carregcoch Bleddyn out of our favourite Dartmoor hill pony mare Bracken. Making him a half brother to Machno Sportsman, Gold Medallist Machno Carwyn, and on his dams side, advanced pony eventer The Little Big Man and our own riding ponies. Likely to be a specialist jumping sire he will cover his first mare this year.
